Our Story - Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd.

JL1 satellite constellation is the core project under construction by CGSTL. It is composed of 138 high-performance optical remote sensing satellites covering high resolution, large width, video, and multi-spectrum. At present, CGSTL has successfully realized 109 "Jilin-1" satellites in orbit through 22 successful launches，and built the world's largest sub meter commercial remote sensing Satellite constellation. Jilin-1 satellite constellation has strong serviceability. It can visit any place in the world 35 to 37 times a day, with the ability to update a global map 3 times a year and a national map 9 times a year. Jilin-1 satellite constellation can provide high-quality remote sensing information and product services for agricultural and forestry production, environmental monitoring, smart city, geographical mapping, land planning, and other fields.

JL1 TEAM

JL1 team is composed of many well-educated and high-quality talented employees. The number of employees has increased from 86 at the end of 2015 to over 600 in 2022. Among them, more than 85% of employees hold master's degrees or higher, and more than 77% with education in "China 985 superior discipline innovation platform"or above. Two groups are selected for the first Major Special Project Teams of Jilin Province and one employee is elected as the seventh batch of "Outstanding Contribution Experts"in Changchun. In addition, one person is selected as an expert in the "National High-level Talent Plan", three are selected as "Experts with Outstanding Contributions" in Jilin Province, and one is selected into the "Seventh Batch of Top Innovative Talents" in Jilin Province, and two are awarded the "Jilin Youth Science and Technology Award". Moreover, one group of the JL1 team is selected for the "Changbai Huigu Talent Reward Plan". They have undertaken 3 major R&D projects for the Ministry of Science and Technology successively and more than 30 projects for the Department of Science and Technology of Jilin Province.
